What is Apply Butler?

Apply Butler is a web application that handles a job search from a resume and a target defined by the user. It finds openings, checks their relevance, processes application forms, and records the observed status of every application.

What is a campaign?

A campaign connects one resume with a specific job-search description: role, industry, location, work arrangement, priorities, and exclusions. It keeps the jobs and applications encountered within that scope together.

What do I need to get started?

Create an account, add the resume you want to use, and clearly describe the role you want. You can also save common application answers in your profile; missing answers can be completed later when needed.

Is Apply Butler a job board?

No. It is not a catalog of job listings. Apply Butler searches sources relevant to your campaign, checks the openings it finds, and continues to the employer's application process when it is accessible.

Does Apply Butler search only for my resume's exact job title?

No. It considers the role content, skills, responsibilities, experience level, and work conditions. Your campaign description remains the priority because it represents the job you want now.

How is a job selected?

The opening must fit the resume and job target, describe a specific position, remain active, and lead to an application process. A generic careers page or a superficial keyword match is not enough.

Do I approve every application individually?

No. Starting a campaign authorizes the processing of openings that fit its scope. However, a missing personal answer, separate consent, CAPTCHA, or required sign-in may need your intervention before a specific application can continue.

What happens when an application answer is missing?

That application moves to the “Answer required” status, and the question appears on its record. Apply Butler does not submit the application until the required field can be completed with an authorized answer.

Does one missing answer stop the entire campaign?

Not necessarily. The request is attached to the application or applications that need it. Independent applications can continue. The campaign may still show that an answer is pending so the situation remains visible in the overview.

Can the same answer be reused across job applications?

Yes, when the answer is saved as reusable and the context is compatible. A general answer then needs to be provided only once. Information specific to a country, employer, or job must not be reused outside that scope.

Where does the information in my profile come from?

Some information is entered directly by you. Other details may be identified from a resume and remain marked for validation. You can review and edit these answers in your profile.

Does processing start immediately when I launch a campaign?

Not always. Launching creates the campaign with its resume and description, then places it in the processing queue. The app shows its status, including queued, running, waiting for an answer, needing review, scheduled, or completed.

How are duplicate job applications prevented?

Newly found openings are compared with your application history. URLs are normalized and reliable job identifiers are reused when available. A known application can be linked to a new campaign without being submitted a second time.

How do I know whether an application was submitted?

The “Submitted” status requires an unambiguous confirmation observed on the employer's site, such as a receipt message or application ID. Clicking the submit button alone is not enough.

What happens when a site requires a CAPTCHA or sign-in?

Apply Butler does not bypass those steps. The application remains pending or requires your intervention. It is not reported as submitted unless the process ends with a clear confirmation.

Which resume file formats are accepted?

The application accepts PDF files only, up to 5 MB each. You explicitly select which resume each campaign should use.

Is the discovery campaign free?

Yes. Every user receives one discovery campaign that can be run once without providing a payment method. It is not permanent free access.

What does Apply Butler cost after the discovery campaign?

Apply Butler Premium costs €149 including French VAT per month, with no commitment, and can be canceled at any time effective at the end of the paid month. Up to three active campaigns target a daily automated rerun; additional campaigns may run in rotation under the fair-use rules. A card issuer may charge currency-conversion fees.

Can I delete my data and account?

Yes. Resumes can be deleted from your profile. Deleting the account ends its associated subscription and removes the user's profile, resumes, answers, campaigns, and applications.

Does Apply Butler guarantee an interview or a job?

No. The service automates part of the job search and application workflow. Employers alone decide whether to respond, offer an interview, or hire.
